Prayer is very important and brings us closer to God. We must live in His word in order to know Him. Jesus even instructs us to pray.

Matthew 26:41

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." (NIV)

Luke 18:1

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (NIV)

Ephesians 8:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (NIV)
